From our founder

Hey, it's Jaye.

Three minutes, one cup of tea, and every question you were about to google at 3am.

Press play and I'll walk you through what's in it, how I take it, and what to expect, month by month. Grab a tea. It's three minutes.

  • What's in each blend, and why we picked it
  • My exact morning and 3pm routine
  • Why we say give it three months

So, what's going on?

The hormone remix nobody RSVP'd to.

Somewhere in your late 30s or 40s, your hormones start shifting. Lots of women notice changes in sleep, mood, skin, hair and focus along the way. Totally normal, wildly under-discussed, and different for everyone.

Late 30s to 40s

It starts

Perimenopause, the lead-up, quietly begins for most women.

4 to 10 years

The long middle

That's how long the lead-up can last. A marathon, babe.

12 months

Menopause

Officially, it's one full year after your last period.

Our two cents

Anything that's bugging you deserves a real conversation with your doctor. What we make is the daily routine side of things: a morning electrolyte, traditional herbs and BC-grown mushrooms, all in one easy bundle.

01

Hydrate first

A real-mineral electrolyte in water, first thing. The easiest habit you'll ever stack.

02

The traditional herbs

Ayurveda, Chinese medicine and North American herbalists each kept plants for women's later chapters. We put the classics in one capsule.

03

Mushrooms + adaptogens

BC-grown mushrooms and time-honoured adaptogens for your afternoon ritual.

One simple routine, three parts. That's the whole idea.

The Wise Woman 40+ Bundle

Meet your three.

A morning drink, a breakfast capsule and a 3pm capsule. Twenty-eight days of each, and they all run out on the same morning. Proudly Canadian, with mushrooms grown right here in BC. Swipe through.

The nerdy bit, made fun

Some mushrooms hit different.

60.8%

Beta-glucans in our Reishi.

Beta-glucans are the compounds most mushroom research zeroes in on. So they're the number worth checking on any mushroom label, and ours are some of the highest you'll find.

Beta-glucan (1,3 and 1,6) content. Both mushrooms are in Wise Woman, and Lion's Mane shows up in Shine too.

A tiny history lesson

How mushroom supplements lost the plot.

For centuries

People used the mushroom itself. The fruiting body, the bit you can see and pick. That's where all the traditional know-how comes from.

Then it got big

Lots of brands started growing only the root network, mycelium, on trays of grain. Fast and cheap. The catch: loads of the final powder is leftover grain starch.

Then came testing

Beta-glucan tests showed how much was filler, and the industry swung hard to fruiting body only.

Where we landed

Full spectrum. Fruiting body and mycelium together, grown properly here in BC and tested every batch. Each part carries compounds the other one skips.

Label-reading hack

Lots of labels brag about "polysaccharides." Starch is a polysaccharide too. Beta-glucans are the number that tells you how much actual mushroom you're getting, so look for that one.

Give it three months

The 30, 60, 90.

Traditional herbs are a slow, steady thing, which is why we say give it three months. Here's how the first 90 days usually roll.

Read this bit

The fine print, made friendly.

Six months on, four weeks off.

That's the traditional rhythm for black cohosh and dong quai, and the one Health Canada holds herbal formulas to. Cycling on and off is how plant medicine has always been used. Goddess and Shine carry straight on through.

Check with your practitioner first if you:

  • Are pregnant, trying or breastfeeding (this one's a hard no for now)
  • Have had a hormone-sensitive cancer, or take tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor
  • Have a liver condition, take thyroid meds or a blood thinner
  • Are on HRT: keep taking it, and tell your prescriber you've added this

Questions, answered.

Will this help my symptoms?

We can't promise that, and we'd side-eye anyone who does. Bodies are wildly different. What we can tell you is exactly what's in it, how each herb has traditionally been used, and how to take it. If something's bugging you, your doctor is the best first call, and this can sit happily alongside that conversation.

How long should I give it?

Traditional herbs are a slow, steady thing, so we always say three months. That's three boxes, and it's the stretch herbalists have always given plants before deciding how they feel about them.

What do I actually get in a box?

One bag of Salty Goddess (28 servings), one bag of Wise Woman (56 capsules) and one bag of Shine (56 capsules). Twenty-eight days of all three. Your very first order comes with a stainless steel spoon.

How does the subscription work?

A fresh box ships every four weeks at 15% off. You can skip, pause, push your date back, swap or cancel from your account anytime. Free gifts land in boxes 2, 3, 7 and 13 automatically.

Can I take this with HRT?

Plenty of women do. Nothing here replaces HRT or is a reason to stop it. Tell your prescriber you've added it, and mention black cohosh and dong quai by name.

What makes your mushrooms different?

We grow them in BC, use both the fruiting body and mycelium, and test every batch for beta-glucans. Our Reishi tests at 60.8% and our Lion's Mane at 57.9%. The leading imported extracts come in around 35 to 45%.

Isn't creatine a gym-bro thing?

It was marketed that way for years. These days it's one of the most researched supplements out there, and loads of women add it to their morning. Ours is creatine HCL, the more soluble form, so it mixes clean with no grit.

What if it's not for me?

30 day returns. Email us and we'll sort it out, no awkwardness.
